OUR GOAL



We believe that every human being is called to play a vital role in God’s Master Plan. We encourage our youth to use their passions and talents to carry out the callings that God has placed on their lives. By doing this, they will inspire others to seek God and apply Him in their own lives.

 
In Luke 9:23, Jesus said, ”If anyone would come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross and follow Me.” The Journey Student Ministry is all about becoming a follower of Jesus, by allowing His Spirit to help us live loving, obedient lives according to the Word of God. Here at The Journey, we strive to maintain a positive atmosphere where youth will be able to develop a strong and lasting relationship with Christ. We invite any teenager or young adult in grades 6 through 12 to join this Journey with Jesus; He promises to never leave you.
Scott Swain, a former science teacher of eleven years, was called to be the pastor over Cornerstone Church’s Student Ministry. With his love for teaching and a passion for Christ, he strives to aid young Christians in the adolescent stages their spiritual journeys. Scott brings his contagious enthusiasm and love for God to Youth Ministries. His desire is to see all those from birth through College grow in their relationship with God and one another.

WHO WE ARE
The Mine: 6th & 7th Grade Ministry
On Wednesday nights, all of our 6th and 7th graders travel down to The Mine to receive specialized spiritual guidance and messages created just for them. In any ordinary mine, one must dig and search in order to uncover the priceless treasures that lie beneath the earth. In The Mine, we help our young middle schoolers dig deep and uncover the truth behind God’s amazing love. Peter Burke leads a team that is determined to help any young Christian that joins their incredible expedition in The Mine.
